Visually, this painting is based on something that happened in a dream of mine. The creature on the left appeared to me, almost as you see him there (he had eagle's claws instead of hands in the dream), and I climbed on his back and off we flew. After several adventures we ended up in a high mountain cave with black storm clouds building in the distance as the sun set.

Conceptually, there is a lot going on in this image. Some of it I haven't yet figured out fully. The ocean is an important symbol for me, as is the hybrid, as are shadows. The dreaming/subconscious mind has eloquent things to say if only we take the time to listen to it.

What does this painting say to you? I'm curious to know.
